Tobias Malte Müller is admitted to the bar in Germany and Italy and has been practicing in the fields of trademark, design, copyright and domain law for more than 20 years. He represents clients in proceedings before German courts as well as before the Court of Justice of the European Union. He manages trademark and design portfolios worldwide and advises on intellectual property issues in transactions/due diligence. Another focus of his work is advising companies and personalities from the sports sector (soccer, motor sports, cycling). Tobias also represents artists, creatives and publishers in the enforcement of their copyrights. Finally, Tobias also advises in the areas of unfair competition, advertising and plant variety protection.
Since 2008, he has regularly acted as a panelist for domain names before the World Intellectual Property Organization (Geneva), the Czech Arbitration Court (Prague), the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre (Hong Kong) and the MFSD (Milan) and has rendered over 350 decisions.
Tobias holds a doctorate from the University of Mainz (Germany) and a French degree (Maîtrise en droit) from the University of Paris XII. Since 2007, he has been a lecturer in intellectual property law at the University of Trier (Environmental Campus Birkenfeld) and regularly holds seminars at international universities and institutions.
He is a member of INTA, Marques, GRUR, APRAM and AICIPI.
He is fluent in German, English, Italian, French and Spanish.
